Rajkot: A flour mill at Kuvadava GIDC was preserved in the API on Tuesday morning due to short circuit in the power cable.
API official said that the fire broke when the factory was closed.
The fire swallowed most of the building.
Panic spread among workers who live beside the factory.
“The workers pay attention to the smoke coming from the building and they rush out of their next house in chaos,” said an API official.
About 5,000 pulse sacks and machines were damaged due to the loss of around Rs 60 lakh to the owner.
The fire department managed to save 15,000 sacks.
Blaze was doused after a two-hour fire department.
