Vadodara: a resident of Aamroli Village in the district of Chhota Udepur was surprised to see marijuana plants floating in the waters of the river by Tuesday.
Such as news of fast and thick spread in the village and the entire region, a large crowd gathered on the banks of the river to take plants from water.
However, the police also had the smell of events in and immediately asked villagers to leave the area empty-handed.
Then, the police took out the remaining plants found floating in the waters and confiscated all odd smoke shares 2.4kg.
The police have registered cases under drug narcotics and psychotropic law on unknown people at the Naswadi police station.
“We suspect that farmers who have to grow plants in their fields may expel plants for fear of being caught.
We checked upstream farms for evidence, “said a police officer.
Local sources said that the police could not collect all plants from the river because many plants got dragged by currents.
