Berlin: The death toll from Dahsyat flood has increased to 156 in Germany, police said Sunday morning, bringing a total of at least 183 fatalities from disasters in Western Europe.
In the state of Rhineland-Palatinate, one of the worst devastated areas in West Germany, the police reported 110 dead, up from 98 before.
One person also died in a flood in South Germany, which was hit by heavy rain on Saturday.
