Flood problem: Human Raichur lifts home with 4 feet

Raichur: To prevent flooding at his low home in Vasavi Nagar in Raichur City during the Monsun, a retired 72-year-old bank manager has truly lifted it with 4 feet of land using hydraulic technology.
Every rainy season, Satyanarayan Mujumdar is used to hire a man to put mud inside a compound wall to raise the ground on the road, from where the water is used to enter his house.
But he realized this would not work for a long time, because the land sank – it fell 1.5 feet from the road – pushed it to find a solution.
When he played with the idea of building a new Hosue, he remembered an example in Sindhanur, where a house was appointed about 3 feet.
Mujumdar told Tii: “I immediately contacted my friend Suranarayana Rao to check the house.
After talking to the owner, he gave me contact from JJ Building Lifting and Shifting Services.” Sai Srinivas from JJ Company checked his house, built 30 years ago, and say they will safely raise the structure.
The company sent 15 men on July 18 for this purpose.
They use 150 hydraulic jacks to lift the house, which is sturdy.
Workers dig 3 feet from the surface around the house – while maintaining the same gap to put bricks to lay the base and build a basic wall.
After putting the foundation, Jack Hydraulic is used to lift the house.
In 20 days, the house rises on the road, solving the problem of flooding once and for all.
Mumjumdar said he had spent 8 8 lakh rs for the job.
“To build a new house here, it will burden me Rs 30-40 lakh, and the other Rs 10,000 as a monthly rent to stay elsewhere to finish the house.
To avoid all of these spending, I decided to lift the house,” he said.
