Gurgaon: wrestling with fertilizer shortages, the state government has directed all police commissioners and SPS from the district to form a special flying team to check hoarding, black marketing and fertilizer smuggling.
The police have also been directed at installing checkpost in the state to monitor any illegal movements.
Minister of Manohar Minister Lal Khattar has led two high-level meetings in the last few days with the availability of fertilizers in Haryana with the Minister of Chemistry and Fertilizers Union.
The state government said there was adequate fertilizer and convincing enough supply to farmers.
At the same time, it urges them to avoid the hoarding panic and also choose alternative fertilizers.
“There are several stockpiling reports and fertilizer smuggling, after which CM issued direction to the police chief of all districts to form a special team and take action against black marketing,” said a senior government official with this problem.
Gurgaon, Faridabad, Rewari, Mahendergarh, Charchi Dadri, Bhiwani, Noah and Jhajjar are among districts bordering other countries.
A police officer in Gurgaon said the team had been formed and deployed in several regions and the eyes would be stored on vehicles coming out of the country illegally.
According to officials, 24 salaries of fertilizers are available in the current state.
“Five additional rules are on their way while the other six supply is being considered.
Thus, the state is expected to get 11 rakes again on October 31,” the official said.
He added that the state is ready to meet farmers’ requirements, which will require fertilizer for wheat plants in November.
“Fertilizers will be available at the right time,” he said.
Officials have been directed to distribute fertilizers to farmers registered on the government’s portal ‘Meri Mera Byora’.
