Patna: Minister of Food Processing Industry UNI Pashupati Kumar Paras on Monday inaugurated the Head Office of Capacity Building (CEC) in Patna for Training Entrepreneurs from Bihar and Northeastern State who were interested in food processing activities.
Paras also launched the ‘Makhana King’ program under one district one product (Odop), which is part of the formalization of the PM micro food processing company (PMFMFPE).
He said PM Narendra Modi was actively interested in the promotion of food processing activities in this country and also in Bihar.
Paras also said the center had decided to establish food processing universities in North Bihar.
He said Cm Nith Kumar had to divert the land required for this purpose.
He will personally discuss this issue with CM, said Paras.
The Union Minister said the land was available to open a large CEC campus in Hajipur.
The initiative will be taken at its level in consultation with the state government of the upper state of materialization.
Paras, who also represented the Election of Hajipur Parliament, said the CEC to be opened in Hajipur will provide training in food processing activities to North Bihar entrepreneurs.
The CEC office in Patna was established under the Guidance of the National Institute of Food Technology Management (NIPM) based in Kundli, Sonify.
The Union Food Processing Industry Secretary Joint Minhaz Alam and Nifthem (Kundli) Chancellor Dr.
C B Devappa was present on that occasion.
Describing the Plan Bihar Center, Paras said the survey would be made to open food processing units in each district according to local needs.
He said Mega Food Park functions in various parts of the country.
This center has planned to open mini food parks and, thus, discussions in this case will also be held with the state government.
He said northern Bihar became famous for the production of Makhana, bananas, corn and other items based on which food processing unit can be opened in the state to help farmers.
According to him, the work of the Union Ministry of Agriculture is to take steps to increase food production and food processing industry work to ensure good returns to farmers on their products, in addition to creating employment opportunities.
