Karnataka protection of the right to Bill’s religious freedom, 2021, also known as an anti-conversion bill, has been categorized as speech levies, free education, free medical care and work.
They are called ‘reasons for breaking the law’ for religious conversion.
The controversial bill is expected to be taken for debate on Thursday, during the state legislative winter session in Beliagavi.
What a person said law would change or try to convert, both directly and not, others from one religion to another by using or practicing representation errors, strength, undue influence, coercion, loan or in any way or by one of these.
Means or with wedding appointments, there will also be people who behave or conspire like that.
Declaration before 30 days * Someone who wants to change His religion must provide a declaration of at least 30 days earlier to the Deputy Commissioner (DC) or additional DC from his hometown or his birthplace.
* Declaration must contain personal details of the converted person – date of birth, permanent address, current residence, father / husband’s name, religion that generally originates and the religion he has tube, it’s a date and place of conversion and the nature of the process Conversion, along with a copy of the ID card or aadhaar card.
* The religious converter that conducts the ceremony to change anyone from one religion to others, also must provide a 30-day forward notice to Deputy Commissioner or ADC.
* The proposed religious conversion must be a notation on the DC and Tahsildar office notification board.
* If there are objections received within 30 days, the DC will get an investigation done through income officials or the Department of Social Welfare.
* Based on Commission questions, if DC / ADC finds a violation based on this action, this case will be transferred to the police for criminal acts.
‘Love jihad’ clause * marriage that has happened with the only purpose of repentance that violates the law by one religion man with another woman, either by changing itself before or after marriage or by changing women before or after marriage, will be declared null and canceled by the family court.
* Someone who plans to convert, or ‘converter’ must provide a 30-day prior notice to the District L Judge, a declaration must be given even after repentance.
* Religious converters including Imam, Purohit, Pandit, Moulvi or Mulla.
* Court with jurisdiction will try such a case at the petition submitted by one of the parties with other parties to get married.
* Such marriage will be legally recognized only if the conversion is notified twice to the Deputy Commissioner (District Court) 30 days before and 30 days after repentance.
* People who regulate “mass conversion” must also be punished.
Prison Line 3-5 Years & Rs 25,000 Penalty * Individuals who change other people through a way that violates the law will withdraw a sentence of three to five years in prison and a fine of RS 25,000.
* If the converted person is a minor, woman, someone who belongs to the caste and tribe scheduled or “from an unhealthy mind”, the penalty will be three to 10 years old, with a fine of Rs 50,000.
* Those who regulate the conversion of mass “illegally” faced three to 10 years in prison, with a fine of Rs 1 lakh.
* The court will ask for the ‘defendant’ to pay the compensation of RS 5 Lakh to the victim of forced conversion, not including a fine charged by the repetitive L court will withdraw a five-year prison sentence and a fine of Rs 2 Lakh.
* All government assistance and grants for institutions involved in “Violating Conversions” will be stopped, regardless of their heads.
