Poinguinim: In a fight between foreigners and local residents in Agonda on Sunday night, four people were injured, including minors, who were stabbed and suffered serious injuries.
Police Canacona said tourists, who were identified as Younis Damani, and Urmila Desai Agonda, fighting over a dog.
“The defendant pushed the woman.
When he saw his mother pushed down, the small son of Urmila rushed to help him, but the defendant allegedly stabbed him in the stomach which caused a serious injury,” the police said.
“Foreigners then attacked Pravin, Urmila’s husband, caused an injury to one of his fingers.
In a fight that was followed afterwards, foreigners also sustained a head injury,” Police added.
Everyone who was injured was in a hurry to the nearest hospital while the child below shifted to the Goa Medical College and the hospital, Bambolim.
Pravin and Urmila are repatriated after treatment.
Police Canacona has registered a case with the provisions of the Indian KUHP (IPC).
Foreigners had been arrested and were in police custody for two days delayed in the investigation.
The police said that the two parties had filed a complaint against Counter, which was being investigated by police sub-inspector Ramchandra rose.
