Attari: Former Afghan Prime Minister Ahmad Shah Ahmadzai along with his family members crossed the international border on the way to Afghanistan through Pakistan on Thursday.
Ahmadzai held a variety of prominent positions in the Afghan government from 1992 to 1994 and continued to act Afghan Prime Minister from 1995 to 1996 before the Taliban confiscated Afghan control and remained in power from TOI Informed Informed toi Informed Posted on Thursday that Ahmadzai along with his relatives including his son Arrive Attari In two vehicles including ambulance.

Sources informed that Ahmadzai fled Afghanistan after the Taliban took control in 1996 and remained in exile until the fall of the Taliban government.
Unconfirmed reports showed that Ahmadzai had been shelter in India.
Reportedly, the former Prime Minister of Afghanistan issued a transit visa by Pakistan after receiving permission from India to cross Attari’s international border which has been closed for passenger traffic since March 2020 with a view to prevent the spread of coronavirus.
The report also quoted that a Taliban government had asked to have asked the Pakistani government to issue a transit visa to Ahmadzai so he could return home.
