New Delhi: Former Chair of Turkey Airlines Ilker AYCI has been appointed as CEO & MD Air India.
The Air India Board met on Monday afternoon to consider his clip and Chairman of the Sons N Chandrase Tata was a special invitation for this council meeting.
AYCI will consider his responsibility on April 1, 2022.

The government on Thursday transferred 100% shares in Air India to Tala Subsidiaries which was fully owned by Talace Pvt Ltd along with management control.
Chairman of Tata Sons N Chandrasekan met the Prime Minister Narendra Modi here before taking Chandrasekan said: “Ilker is the leader of the aviation industry who led the Turkish airline at his current success during his term.
We are happy to welcome Ilker to the Tata Group where he will bring Indian water to A new era.
“Ilker AYCI said:” I am happy and honored to accept the privileges to lead the iconic airline and join the Tata Group.
Cooperating with my colleague in Air India and the leadership of the Tata Group, we will take advantage of strong inheritance from Air India to Make it one of the best airlines in the world with a unique flying experience that reflects Indian warmth and friendliness.
“Born in Istanbul in 1971, AYCI was an alumni of 1994 from the Department of Political Sciences and Public Administration of Bilkent University.
After remaining research on political science at the University of Leeds in England in 1995, he completed the Master of International Relations program at the University of Marmara in Istanbul in 1997.
His appointment was subject to the approval of the necessary regulations.
