Athens: Former Greek President Carolino Papoulias, who underwent two terms between 2005 and 2015, died on Sunday at the age of 92, said Presidential.
Papouliast, who is also the Minister of Foreign Affairs in 1985-89 and 1993-96, is a high-ranking member of the Supply Socialist Party and the partner near his leader and former Prime Minister Andreas Papandreou.
President Katerina Sakellaropoulou paid tribute to Papoulias because of his role in resistance to Nazi’s work during World War Dua and against the Greek military junta 1967-74.
“Participation in the national resistance and anti-dictatorship struggle …
reflects its service with the ideals of freedom and justice, which he maintains throughout his life,” said Sakellaropoulou in a statement.
