New Delhi: Henry Kravis and George Roberts, classical dealmaker who have dominated global private equity for almost half a century, are compiling their leadership roles in KKR & Co to provide way for their successors.
The founders of the Billionaire KKR lifted Joe Bae, 49, and Scott Nuttall, 48, to Co-Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately, the New Yorkbased company said in a statement on Monday.
Krisvis, 77, and Roberts, 78, will function as Co-Chairmen of the Executive Board.
Along with change, the KKR said he would move to the one-stock structure, one vote within five years.
“We are proud of what we made to support the company and serve our clients for the past four and a half decades,” Kravis and Roberts said in the statement.
Reorganization marked the final step in the succession plan initiated four years ago.
This is also one of the most significant generation shifts for the industry.
Over the past few years, the largest private equity company, including the Carlyle Group, has installed a new generation of young executives to take over from their rich founders.
KKR Rose Stock 1.1% in the initial trade in New York.
Stocks have risen 62% this year until October 8 and said Ethan L Kaye.
