Vadodara: The founder of Haridham in Sokhda near Vadodara and Yogi Society Divine, Swamiji Hariprasad died on Monday night.
Spiritual Leader Sok Sokhda Swaminarayan was treated at General Hospital Amin Bhailal (Bagh) where he breathed his last breath.
Swamiji suffers from kidney disease and feels unhealthy since Sunday after dialysis.
He was taken to Bagh where he died around 11pm on Monday.
Spiritual leaders have joined the celebration of the Poornima teacher recently.
His death soon after, surprised the monks and other sect followers.
Hundreds of queuing outside Bagh since early morning on Tuesday to find out about his death.
The last Swamiji rite will be carried out in 1.
August until then the body will be stored in Haridham in Sokhda.
Detailed plans have been withdrawn by functioners in Haridham to ensure that followers can offer tribute.
The necessary settings have been made to ensure Covid-19 guidelines are followed.
Swamiji was born on May 23, 1934, in Asoj Village in Vadodara Regency.
He was given ‘Deesekha’ in 1965 by Yogiji Maharaj with whom he was associated for a decade since 1955.
He had to part with Aksharpurshottam Sansta in 1966 and, in the end, establishing Haridham in Sokhda and Yogi Society.
He was popular among youth and established several educational institutions.
This sect has followers both at home and abroad.
