Four cluster variants, six omicron cases identified

Thiruvananthapuram: The health team has identified four cluster variants in the district which includes six positive cases of Omicron in two groups detected in engineering colleges.
This district has reported 81 groups between 1 and 22 January.
All cluster variants are identified in the Military Station Pangode, Mar Baselios College of Engineering and Technology in Nalannhira and the College of Engineering Trivandrum, now contained.
At Military Station Pangode Two Positive Delta was also identified.
Clusterstwo was reported at Mar Baselios College of Engineering.
About 40 cases were reported at this college.
Three samples from this cluster are sent to the whole sequensing genome out as an omicron positive.
On the campus, there was a group of other students who tested positive after returning from a trip to Kullu and Manali.
Three samples from this cluster are also tested positively for Omicron variants.
Three positive Delta cases were identified in clusters at the Trivandrum Engineering College which had the highest educational case load.
All cluster variants are identified in Poojapura, Nalannhira and Sreekariyam are now contained, according to the cluster analysis report.
