Noida: The police on Thursday arrested four gang members who were allegedly involved in the Staff Election Candidate (SSC GD Constable) written exam from the Noida 62 sector Recruit staff to various posts at the Ministry and Department.
The defendant has been identified as Vikas Kumar (24), Sanjay Kumar (28), Raghvendra Kumar (23), all members of Firozabad, and Anish Chaharv (26), who initially came from Fatehpur Sikri in Agra.
Vikas, who runs the Coaching Institute in Firozabad, allegedly disguised as a candidate in the exam on Wednesday, police said.
“We received a tip-off that the defendant would meet in sector 62 to seal the agreement.
A team was sent to the place and we managed to peel four,” said Deputy Commissioner (Noida) Ranvijay Singh.
“Five cellphones, five fake pan cards, five fake Aadhaar cards, one debit card, two recognition cards, and RS 52,150 cash confiscated from their ownership.” According to the police, Vikas disguised as a candidate, named Raghuvendra, in the exam was held at the center in sector 62.
“He has planned to appear as a test breaker for the name of another person on Thursday too, when he and other gang members were arrested.

During the investigation, it was revealed that the defendant had appeared at least 10 SSC candidates in the past five years.
They used to charge around Rs 5-7 lakh from each candidate to remove their exams.
“The defendant revealed that they used to fake documents when filling out the application form.
Mimics in the place of Raghvendra, Vikas has made a fake aadhaar card on behalf of Raghvendra and fills out a separate test form with a false identity to get easy access to the exam center,” said the deputy commissioner .
A pine has been registered against the defendant under the IPC 416 section (cheating with the imitation), 420 (cheating), 467 (forgery), 120-B (criminal conspiracy) and 34 (general intentions), and under the Uttar Pradesh Public Examination (Prevention Unjust) ACT, 1998.
