Around 2:30 p.m.
on Tuesday, the victim, identified as Rakesh, had come out of his motorcycle to pick up his children from their school.
On his way, he stopped at a general store to buy household items.
When he came out of the shop, his cousin allegedly hit him from behind with ax and killed him in place.
One of the accused, identified as Sonu or Bura, has been arrested, but the other three fled.
The police claimed that the brothers had argued about Tubewell’s improvement for the past month.
The victim had started repair work but his cousin criticized his steps and wanted to put up a new one.
Fields, police said, were distributed between five brothers but their sons in the dispute over TubeWell and electrical connections.
A week ago, the dispute was suspected of being ugly, with a cousin hit the victim with bricks.
After another argument on Tuesday, the cousin took the problem in their own hands and used a ax to hit the victim in the neck and head.
The victim rushed to the hospital but was declared dead on arrival.
“An argument increased into a battles and turned badly.
Nearly 4-6 efforts were made to kill Rakesh with ax to death in place,” said a police officer.
The police have submitted FIR, Nitesh, Sonu and Bhavinder at the Dhauj Police Station under the Section (armed with deadly weapons), 149 (unlawful assembly), 302 (punishment for murder) IPC.
“We have arrested Sonu and tracked others accused of the help of a crime branch,” the police said.
