Kottayam: Four Indian Social Democratic Party Activists (SDPI) were arrested in connection with the murder of the OBC Morcha BJP leader Ranjith Sreenivasan on Saturday.
Arrest included two people involved directly with the murder.
The two indigenous people of Alappuzha have been hiding in other districts, police said.
Both were interrogated and many important details about this case were revealed, the police added.
Others, named Sharafuddin, 48, a real Alappuzha, was arrested for taking part in the conspiracy to kill Ranjith.
The fourth person was arrested for managing a fake SIM card for the accused.
Meanwhile, BJP held a protest marching to the district police headquarters in Alappuzha for the late arrest of all the people accused of the case of Ranjith’s murder.
BJP State Secretary General MT Ramesh challenges the police saying that if they cannot accuse being accused of the case of the murder of Ranjith, BJP will get it if the police submit a list of accused people.
“However, there will be some defects in their bodies.
The police must take responsibility for it,” Ramesh said.
