T’puram: Four more cases of Omicron have been reported in the state, taking the total number of cases to 11.
Among the four new cases, two have been reported in Thiruvananthapuram, respectively in Malappuram and Thrissur.
Both cases reported in the state capital came from England and Tunisia.
The person tested positive for Omicron in Malappuram came from Tanzania, and the person in Thrissur came from Kenya.
The 17-year-old came from England on December 9 to Thiruvananthapuram along with his father, mother and sister.
His grandmother also came in this person’s contact list.
The 44-year-old player, who came from Tunisia, has arrived on December 15 with rented flights.
He tested positive at the airport himself.
The person in Malappuram was a native Kannada Dakshina and had reached Kozhikode airport on December 13.
He tested positive at the airport himself and immediately shifted to the isolation ward.
The person in Thrissur came from Kenya to Sharjah on December 11 and arrived at Kochi the following day.
He tested positive on December 13.
His mother is also under the contact list.
With those who come from high-risk countries that test the positive Omicron, the State Health Department has urged all who came from abroad to defend Quarantine 14 days at home.
They have been asked not to visit public places or crowded areas.
3,297 New Cases: The country reported 3,297 new Covid cases from 52,570 samples tested in the last 24 hours.
