Vadodara: Narmada police have arrested four people because they killed a 70-year-old man, a resident of Mangu Village in Tilakwada Taluka.
The victim Sanabhai Bariya was the father of a police officer who was recently promoted to the ranking deputy supervisor.
According to the police, Sanabhai has helped a young child in getting a loan from a farmer last year.
Sanabhai continues to ask young people to return the money and even have an argument with him.
On July 8, four men gathered in the fields where Sanabhai was present and attacked him.
The defendant hit Sanabhai with a shovel that caused an injury to his head.
To mislead the police and show that Sanabhai died in an accident on the road, the defendant threw away near the village of Pahad.
They even left the two-wheeled Sanabhai in the same place.
The local crime of Narmada (LCB) swung into the action after the body was found on July 10 on July 10 based on tip-off, they arrested four men including Altaf Ghori, Saddam Hussain Ghori, Rameez Khan Hussain, all the residents of Tilakwada.
The defendant told the police that Sanabhai had helped Altaf’s friend get a loan last year.
But Altaf’s friend did not return the money and therefore Sanabhai entered the argument with Altaf who then decided to kill Sanabhai.
Sanabhai’s son, R S Bariya has served as police inspector at the Panigate Police Station, Harni and Fatehgunjun in the city.
He was recently promoted as DYSP and posted in Rajkot.
