Rajkot: Special Operations Group (SOG) and Police Dhrol in Jamnagar carried out an attack and arrested four people with 37 kg of Cannabis (marijuana) worth Rs 3.69 lakh on Tuesday night.
The police also confiscated a car, a truck, four cellphones other than the smuggle from the defendant.
Those who were arrested were identified as Anirudhsinh Jadeja (27), the owner of the truck and residents of Jodiya City in Jamnagar; James Jacob Christian (45), truck cleaners; Shahrukh Hasmani and Javed Watches.
According to police, Jadeja and Christian have brought marijuana from Odisha to be sent to Shahrukh, Javed, Ajay and Nawab at Vankia Village near Dhrol Town on Tuesday night.
On Tuesday night, SOG and Dhrol police stormed Vankia village when Shahrukh and Javed came to receive 27 kg of marijuana delivery from trucks driven by Anirudhsinh Jadeja.
The police arrested Shahrukh, Javed along with Jadeja and Christianity and grabbed drugs.
They also looked for Shahrukh’s house where they found 10 kg of marijuana.
“Ajay, a resident of Jogvad Village in Lalpur Taluka from Jamnagar and Nawab is under runner.
Because they cannot reach the time of delivery on time they cannot be arrested,” police said.
