Paris: France on Wednesday began managing the Shots of Covid-19 vaccine booster to people over 65 and those who have a healthy health condition as a Delta variant spread in the country.
France is the first UE country to introduce booster shots, and some other European countries are expected to follow the suit.
Many countries are still struggling to provide the first dose and who have called on the moratorium of the Booster and urge the government to donate vaccines to countries in need.
People in France can get a booster after the minimum sixmonth period has passed since they are fully vaccinated with the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine.
Those who get J & J single doses of Jab can get a booster shot from Pfizer or Moderna at least four weeks after they are vaccinated.
Nearly 44 million people, or 65.6% of the French population were fully vaccinated.
In August, Hungary became the first UE country that allowed a booster dose.
