PARIS: A guy with acute schizophrenia that was on a watch list for Muslim radicalism stabbed at a police officer at her channel Friday in western France and taken two officers before authorities killed him, police said.
The slain defendant had been a Frenchman in his 40s who was on a lookout for Muslim radicalism for the”strict” spiritual practices,” Interior Minister Gerald Darmanin stated.
The assailant had been discharged from prison and had been under observation by psychiatric agencies, he explained.
The three officers were injured but not one is in life threatening state, ” the minister stated.
The rationale behind the violence from the Nantes suburb of La Chapelle-sur-Erdre was cloudy, however, Darmanin told reporters in the scene the guy”clearly wished to strike police.
” The attacker had been created in France and didn’t have any previous convictions for terrorism-related offenses, Darmanin mentioned.
The man, who dwelt in La Chapelle-sur-Erdre, entered the police station Friday afternoon stating that he had a vehicle issue, Mayor Fabrice Roussel stated.

French authorities put aquariums, search dogs and over 200 officers to locate the defendant, and shut nearby colleges and shops.

The defendant was severely injured in an ensuing shootout, also died Friday day of his accidents, according to a police officer.

Authorities and ambulances blocked streets in the generally quiet, residential neighborhood following the stabbing.
