Paris: French President Emmanuel Macron said he was standing with his previous comments that he wanted to “peel” five million French people who were still not vaccinated against Covid-19, added it was his responsibility to ring the alarm remembering the threat of omicron.
“I stood with my previous comments,” said Macron, when he hosted the European Commission President Ursula Von Der Leyen during his trip to Paris.
He added that it was the obligation of the authorities to put restrictions on those who were not vaccinated, to protect more than 90% of French citizens who were vaccinated.
France reported more than 200,000 cases of Covid-19 on average daily, a record of all time, because of the high-pated high omicron coronavirus variant.
