Paris: The candidate of Far-Right President French Eric Zemmour is to hold an official campaign meeting at a stadium outside Paris on Sunday, with the police with a high warning of the risk of clashes with protesters.
Zemmour, a 63-year-old television writer and pants, announced on Tuesday that he would run in the next April election, joining the challenger field who wanted to praise President Centrist Emmanuel Macron.
His first rally came only a day after the Right-wing Republic Party chose Valerie Pecree, a former budget minister, as its nomination.
“This is extraordinary level of enthusiasm, while other candidates have been in a half empty room,” Antoine Diers, spokesman for Friends of Eric Zemmor Group, told AFP on Friday.
“We expect a lot of people.” About 19,000 people have registered for the event, according to the Zemmour campaign, which leads it to exchanged concert halls for a larger capacity exhibition room on the outskirts of northeast.
Police alert for far-left and anarchist activists who disturbed Zemmour’s trip last week to the south of Port City of Marseille, which ended with candidates who showed the middle finger to a woman who protested.
About 50 trade unions and civil society groups also called for demonstrations in Paris to denounce Zemmour, an anti-Islamic polemic and anti-immigration which is sometimes called “Trump France” and has two beliefs for hatred speeches.
Some thousand people are expected to gather.
Stephane Trousel, Socialist Head of the Seine-Saint-Denis region, where Zemmour’s rally will take place, also launched a petition calling for a rally to be canceled.
This event will be checked carefully considering how Zemmour has fallen into a poll after dramatically into French politics in September.
Until now, he has traveled to this country carrying out promotional events for his latest book – “France has not said his last word” – which functions as a pre-campaign tour disguised thinly.
As well as a series of recent steps, including the incident of the middle finger, Zemmour has seen several figures affecting remotely from him, including the main financial supporters.
Polling shows that voters currently believe the Le Pen Sea, a distant national rally party veteran leader, will make the president more competent than Zemmour, which is seen as a majority of great.
The latest survey suggests he will be removed in the first round if the selection is held now, with Macron leads to win before Le Pen, but analysts warn that the results remain very uncertain.
Zemmour launched his offer for the presidency on Tuesday in a very unusual video posted on YouTube, who saw him read the speech into an ancient microphone while sitting at the table and barely looking into the camera.
It was intended to remember the June 1940 address which was famous by War Hero General Charles de Gaulle to continue resistance to the Nazi occupation in France.
More than images of riots, Islamic prayers, and terror attacks, Zemmour warns that France is in danger “conquered” or “colonized” by immigrants and that the Frenchman is “replaced.” His friend Robert Menard, mayor away from the southern city of Beziers and the influential figure in a distant circle, called a rally on Sunday “bold bets.
He needs to do it.” Menard describes YouTube videos as “apocalyptic darkness” and says Zemmour needs to start describing concrete proposals.
During the prime-time interview on Tuesday night, Zemmour complained that he had not been questioned about his program, reportedly insulting Anchor Gilles Bouleau after questioning him about his past comment on women and Muslims.
