Pune: The number of Covid-19 cases fell to 3,762 in the Pune Metropolitan area on Monday, at least since January 6 when 3,648 people had tested the positive virus.
In addition, 14 more patients surrendered to infection in the region in the last 24 hours, taking victims to 19,475 so far.
A total of 7,953 recovery was recorded in the Pune Metropolitan area (PMR) on Monday, which included more than 3,200 release within the city limit Pune, followed by the Pimpri Chinchwad area (2,942) and a rural part (1,748).
Among the new Covid-19 cases, the Pimpri Chinchwad area and rural bags each increase each from 1,000 new cases.
The case count within the PMC limit also fell to 2,056, the data released by Bhagwan Pawar District Health Officer stated.
22,766 samples were tested in the region on Monday.
Active cases in this region fell to 59.204 on Monday.
Of these, 56,887 patients were in house isolation and 2,317 patients were treated in various hospitals.
