Kolar: Alarm bells ring in the Kolar District Administration Corridor after two Covid-19 cluster outbreaks reported – one on the Taluk and other KGF in Mulbagal Taluk.
Fresh cases in Kolar Kolar declined, with only seven new infections reported on August 24.
However, there has been an uptick since August 25.
On Sunday reported 54 new infections.
Officials link a surge in students from Kerala who return to college in this district.
G Prasanna Kumar, Health Inspection Officer, Taluk KGF, claimed the “score” of students from Kerala back to Noor Unissa Nurse Campus College at KGF four days ago.
Initially, four had shown symptoms and were tested positively.
Sensing problems, authorities took samples from 56 other students, all of Kerala, and 28 of them found infected.
Health officials then tested all 265 students from Kerala registered in college.
On Monday night, 66 was tested positively.
That number might pass 80, said Kumar.
He said universities were closed and disanited.
He said, when they arrived, students had submitted a Covid negative test report issued by private laboratories in Kolar, but their authenticity was doubtful.
Meanwhile, the border of the Mulbagal Taluk reported 16 new cases in the last 24 hours.
All cases come from new poultry farms in Village V Shettyhalli, near Urukunte Mittor, said Dr.
Varnashree, Taluk Medical Officer.
He said a poultry farm based in Bengaluru prepared branches in the village and had employed workers from Sarjapur, Bengaluru.
Four of them were tested positive two days ago.
The test was then carried out on all 24 workers and 16 found infected.
He said all who had contracted infection had been hospitalized and BGML steps were being carried to clean up agriculture.

Varnashree said the staff oversee the villages that shared the border with Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh.
Prohibiting KGF and Mulbagal, four other net in the district have reported positive cases in one digit over the past few days, the Ministry of Health said.
