Mumbai: The Maharashtra government on Tuesday issued orders who extended full vaccination (14 days since the second dose) mandate to ride a local train even for important workers.
So far, only the general public is asked to be fully vaccinated to ride the local train.
The government also stated that people who work in important sectors including government employees must be fully vaccinated and should complete 14 days after inoculation before being allowed to take the local train starting now.
And from now on, Universal Pass will be published only for all citizens who are fully vaccinated, regardless of whether they are important services or not.
Orders issued by the Secretary of Sitaram Kunte said that at present, important services such as medical services, telecommunications sectors, gas supply, water supply, government personnel, among others have been issued graduated from their vaccination status, to ensure that important services are not affected.
“However, it should be noted that a significant time has passed since the vaccination drive initiation.
And the boost is being carried out at a very fast speed with an adequate vaccine available through private and public centers,” orders said.
Although the two months of resuming train services for the general public who are fully vaccinated, the state government has not been allowed to distribute one day tickets and only a monthly pass given to passengers which causes discomfort for all.
