Gurgaon: The second dose of Haryana reached a sign of 40% on Friday as the country was seen stepping up to the steps to vaccinate its qualified population.
So far, five districts have provided both doses to more than 50% of their target population – Gurgaon (75%), Ambala (65%), Charchi Dadri (65%), Panchkula (65%) and Faridabad (52%).
According to the Ministry of Health, the state has given almost 2.6 crore doses until now, which includes around 1.8 crore first dose (69%) and 82.8 lakh second dose (31%).
Nine Districts have been fully inoculated more than 30% of the population – REWARI (41%), JHAJJAR (38%), Mahendergarh (37%), Karnal (37%), Rohtak (37%), Bhiwani (36%), Yamunanagar ( 36%), YAMUNANAGAR (35%), SonÄ«pat (35%) and Kurukshetra (32%).
Covid vaccination in Haryana began on January 16 this year.
On January 31, the state has provided 1.2 lakh doses.
This figure rose to nearly 3.3 lakh on February 28, 17.4 lakh on March 31, 39.2 lakh on April 30 and 59.8 lakh on May 31.
Until the end of June, Haryana had given 88.5 doses of Lakh Covid vaccine.
On July 31, this figure has risen to almost 1.2 crores, which increased to 1.6 crores on August 31 and 2.3 crores on September 30.
Although Gurgaon has given a maximum first dose in Haryana – around 21.9 lakh (121% coverage) – as many 1.5 lakh receivers are due to their second dose in the city.
“We trace people because of their second dose and also send cellular vans to areas with a high presence of recipients like that,” said Gurgaon Medical Chief Dr.
Virender Yadav.
Additional doses are caused by floating populations working in the city but do not live here or migrants who have moved to the city to work but do not officially increase the population because there is no local registration.
Apart from Gurgaon, three other districts have provided the first dose for all eligible populations.
This includes Faridabad (104%), Ambala (102%) and Panchkula (102%).
Meanwhile, Noah (35%), Palwal (69%) and Jind (70%) have given the first dose.
Vax at 102 government sites today on Friday, Gurgaon will establish 102 government vaccination session sites.
Covishield will be provided at 96 sites, covaxin on five sites and sputnik v on one site.
