Vadodara: The one member committee appointed by the Gujarat government on Tuesday visited the University M campus in connection with charges of fraud in furniture repair work carried out in the hall of residence.
A former student leader Jaimin Joshi has alleged that in the 2015-16 financial year, the university assigned furniture improvements to work to an agent without issuing the tender needed for the work that was said to be 1.42 crore.
Joshi has claimed that based on his representative, the Minister of Education and Exsequition of the Waghani State has appointed the Probe Committee.
Registrar of MSU participants, Dr.
K M Chudasama confirmed that an official visited the university headquarters to verify details based on complaints.
“We have provided all the required documents,” Chudasama said, which denied allegations of mistakes in repair work.
“We have assigned a contract to carry out work improvements to Andh Afang Kalyan Kendra, Ahmedabad, who was notified by the Government of Gujarat.
According to the government’s notification, this institution can be assigned to work without issuing tenders.
There are no questions about errors because all the rules set by the government have been followed, “He said.
