Gadag Advocate was chosen to represent India at the UNESCO event for prosecutors

Hubballi: In the era when ‘speaking the truth for power’ proven increasingly difficult, and the role of the media in the age of ‘post-truth’ will increase under supervision, UNESCO, in an effort to illuminate the importance of free speech, organize a five-day training program starting 14 Until February 18 in Italy for prosecutors from all over the world.
Among those chosen for this event was 49 years Mahesh Vaidya from Gadag, who currently works in the prosecution department in the capacity of legal counsel for the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) in Bengaluru.
The prosecutor attending the event will be trained by UNESCO, the International Prosecutor’s Association, Siracusa International Institute for criminal justice and human rights and the National Association of General Lawyers.
Confirming his choice to TOI, said Vaidya, “Letter from UNESCO signaled my election for the program stating that the choice was based on expertise in the field.” The Director General of Police for CID, a special unit and economic violations in Bengaluru, said, “This is a proud moment for the police and the prosecution department who has been chosen by Vaidya to represent India at the international stage.
We have asked IG & DGP to allow him to participate in this event.
Participation will not be charged anything for these conditions since the committee has convinced him to take care of all costs.
“In retrospect, it can be said that Vaidya is destined to go to places.
He did it, however, walked with four gold medals when he was awarded the LLB degree at Karnatak University in Dharwad in 1997.
He joined the prosecution department in the capacity of the public prosecutor assistant in 2006.
After serving as a junior legal officer for a police station in various police stations Regency, he currently serves as a legal counsel for CID.
Vaidya has participated in state and national level seminars, in addition to functioning as a resource for workshops organized by the Department of Police, forests, excise and agriculture.
He also worked as a nodal officer to digitize the Carnataka Prosecution Department.
