Nagpur: A number of Maoists armed in a lower ranking struggling to death on Saturday, trying in vain to protect members of the Central Committee (CC) Milind Teltumde, who brought RS50 Lakh’s prize and had more than 63 violations of it.
Their last stand in the Mardintola forest in Dhanora’s subdivision, near the border of Maharashtra-Chhattisgarh, also helped several other top cadres escape.
Teltumde, responsible for the Maharashtra-Madhya Pradesh-Chhattisgarh zone, is between 26 Maoists who were killed.
Among the dead, six are women including Vimla aka Imla, which is Teltumde’s bodyguard.
Another of his bodyguard, Bhagatsingh, was also found dead.
Intermittent blackouts, including heavy shooting unprecedented from both sides at times, lasted for almost 10 hours, it was studied.
Four Jawan C60 was injured at the meeting, now their condition was studied to be stable.
On Sunday, SP Ankit Goyal confirmed Teltumde’s death after he was identified in accordance with the police standard operating procedure (SOP) by Maoist who surrendered at the police headquarters.

Sources from the District Police said Top cadres such as members of the Sukhpal Division Committee and Dandakyarya Special Zonal Committee members Prabhakar also may attend the location of the meeting, but managed to sneak in the midst of a heavy shooting.

Further sources said Teltumde was protected by a group of young cadres from Chhattisgarh, who had not yet been identified.
“Even though they knew the end they were near, the group was fighting until the last breath to protect Teltumde.
Nearly 80-90% of Maoists who were neutralized put their lives for teltumde instead of escaping,” the source said.
He added a small group to make the C60 command a long guess about the next step.
“Even after shooting reduced from Maois side, and finally their weapons fell silent, the C60 command must be very careful,” said the source.
Kasansoor Commander Sunnu (RS8 Lakh Prize), member of the Mahesh Gota Division Committee (RS16 Prize in his head), DVC and four Lokesh Commander Companies (RS20 Lakh Prize) and Korchi in the Kisan Commander (RS8 Lakh Prize) are among other key cadres neutralized.
The body and materials confiscated from Maois who were killed were transported to Kotgul by C60 Jawan on foot, walking through the forest for almost 10 km.
