Mumbai: BMC for the past week detected and destroyed the hidden room and escaped from the route at two bars in Andheri (East).
The rooms and exits of secrets are thought to be intended to cooperate bar dancers in the case of police attacks at the dance bar.
BMC checked out eight bars in K-East ward and found the rooms hidden and out of them both.
“We did inspections together with the police.
Our staff found the hidden room behind the mirror in one of the bars and the other there was a secret out of the back of the closet.
The door is hidden behind clothes and may have been used to hide bar dancers.
We have destroyed the illegal structure At the Pink Plaza Bar and Urvashi Bar, “said Prashant Sakpale, Assistant Commissioner of K-East Ward.
“We will take action against the bar owner under the Mumbai Municipal Corporation Law and we have told the police too so they will also take the necessary action.
This is part of the urge to check illegal construction and change in bars and restaurants.
All The wall was checked for the cavity, the room and the secret door, “said Sakpale.
While Pink Plaza is located near Subway at Andheri Railway Station, Urvashi is located in the AK Road near the West Highway Express.
This is the second and third bar in Andheri where the cavity or secret space is detected.
Earlier this month, a bar was raided in Andheri by the Social Services Unit of the Crime Branch, which led to the arrest of 11 people and rescue 17, said an official.
Raid has happened at night and the walls of the place must be broken to find the cavity where women remain hidden, said Sakpale.
“Tip-off is accepted that women are made dancing at the bar.
Advanced electronic systems are installed near the bar to remind them in any attack.
We found the basement with a bed and air conditioner.
The case was registered at the Andheri police station,” he said.
Sakpale said BMC would suspend the health bar license.
