Vadodara/Anand: The Khambat rural authorities have busted a gang of car thieves and arrested three men on Thursday. Even the cops recovered 32 motorbikes in the gang which was committing the offenses in Vadodara within the past several months. According to the authorities, the gang had to sneak the vehicles and sell them off to make some fast cash. The accused have been identified since Jiluba Chavda, Sohail Malek and Gajendra Chavda; most inhabitants of Khambat at Anand. “We had received information that one of those gang members had been intending to offer a stolen motorbike after our staff chose the accused,” said the authorities. When contested, the gang confessed to having stolen many vehicles. The police retrieved five two-wheelers out of Diluba’s house, four from Sohail’s home and three out of Gajendra’s location. The trio told the cops they had stolen complete 32 vehicles worth $ 8.86 lakh. Each of the motorbikes are recovered from the authorities. The group stole the vehicles in Gorwa, Fatehgunj, Sama, Manjalpur, Makarpura, J P Road, Harni, Padra and Karjan. The authorities is currently exploring if the gang had been involved in almost any other offenses before.
