Ganga swells after rainfall does not climb in Uttarakhand

Written by news2in

Kanpur: Heavy pool rainfall on the hill does not only cause flooding and severe destruction in Uttarakhand, it also causes an unexpected increase on the surface of the Ganga water in Kanpur at this time this year.
The very heavy rain in the Kumaon Uttarakhand area has resulted in an increase in the surface of the water in Ganga.
While this rain brought a havoc on a hill by causing a flash flood and triggered landslides, the rain also made Ganga and his children swell by giving them extra water.
Such heavy rainfall is unusual in October and therefore when the surface of the water rises in the ganga, it looks on the ganga barrage where the tab is stored on the surface of the water.
But the increased surface of the water is profitable for Jal Kal department since the water supply to the city is provided from Ganga.
Because of the increase in water surfaces, the current department does not require the use of dredging machines to attract water from Ganga.
Two dredging machines were used until a few days ago, now their use has been stopped.
However, the situation may not remain the same in the coming days.
Once the water level goes down again, then the same procedure from drawing water from Ganga must be deployed.
Ganga water now directly reaches Pumping Station Bhairo Ghat.
More than two lakh cusec water had been released from the Narora Dam to Ganga.
Water level, therefore, increases in a series and in shuklaganj where the increase or decrease in the water table is recorded every hour.
All 30 gates of the barrage of Ganga have been opened on Friday to enable increasing water flow.
However, increasing the current water surface does not pose a threat to the territory of a low lying kattri, which is a group of around a dozen small villages.
