Gurugram: MCG decided to increase the level of garden maintenance from Rs 3 to Rs 4 per SQM which was present during his home meeting on Monday.
New rates will take effect from January 1, 2022.
The house also decided to form a committee for each ward, consisting of the Horticulture Council and Officer of the Horticulture Department, to evaluate the garden maintenance carried out by the Environmental Committee or Resident Welfare Association (RWAS) in the city.
The MCG commissioner said that the municipality would take back park tasks from anyone who was inefficient.
The committee was based on recommending the level of maintenance park has decided Rs 5 per square meter.
However, the house fixes the level at Rs 4 per SQM.
“The panel has proposed Rs 5 per square meter, but we also take into account the tariff in Delhi,” said Subhash Yadav, Nodal Environmental Officials MCG and sustainability wing.
Commissioner MCG Mukesh Kumar Ahuja said, “We surveyed the park and learned that only 33% of our garden were well maintained.
Park maintenance will be retrieved from the Ward and Rwas committee not doing their work, efficiently.” Mahesh Dayma, number 30 bangsal board member, said that all parks must get a waste water connection (STP) so there is enough water to keep green plants.
The Commissioner responded, said the Ward-Wise Supervisory Committee, who was formed, would check it out.
Ahuja added that these committees must submit reports on parks within 15 days, and MCG will then take action against the RWAS or environmental committee.
Meanwhile, members of the Environmental Council Number 4, Virender Raj Yadav, suggested the examination of the authenticity of RWA which maintained MCG Park.
On the other hand, Rwa stated that the level of Rs 3 per square meter was sufficient for garden maintenance.
“United Forum Rwas told the MCG Commissioner through a letter that Rs 3 per square meter was sufficient, and there was no reason to climb the tariff because this money came directly from the taxpayer bag,” said Udaybir Yadav, Rwa, Rwa President Sector 10A.
“Board members have taken over the maintenance of parks in several regions, and they have personal interests in taking these surplus funds and utilizing them elsewhere.
In addition, if MCG is a committee to monitor our work, a MLA committee must oversee our work.
From Board members.
This is an arbitrary approach and monopolizing, “he added.
