Former Indian and South African coach Gary Kirsten said he would be interested in training the side of the surrounding English test during the role did not involve limited coaching to the team too.

“I have walked with this trip twice now (when England recruited a new coach in 2015 and 2019) and I always explained that I would never commit to doing all formats,” said Kirsten to me.
“And when the international cricket board releases their heads around the fact that they need to divide the coaching role, then it is a consideration.” England won the World Cup ODI 2019 at home, but the test team had failed to shoot and found themselves seventh at the world test championship table after losing five matches this year – including two defeats in India by India.
“Listen, the British odi side is arranged, you are the best odi side in the world today.
This is a well thought out project, you have consistency at the selected players,” Kirsten added.
“The side of the test you have struggled for a while but it would be a very beautiful project to get it.”
