Former world champion lost two matches – one to Fabiano Caruana (US) and the other to Richard Rapport (Hungary) while drawing with five others.
Draws came against Shakhriyar Mamedyarov (Azerbaijan), Sergey Karjakin (Russia), David Navara (Czech Republic)), Vugar Asadli and Rauf Mamedov (both Azerbaijan).
He is located in the last place after the event is fast and the day is one of the Blitz parts with 5.5 points.
On Thursday, the second day of Blitz where the players will play each opponent with the opposite color will be held.
Rapport was in front of the field with 20.5 points with Shakhriyar Mamedyarov (Azerbaijan) one point behind him and Caruana at 18.5.
Previously in the fast, Anand could only manage one victory, against Shakriyar Mamedyarov in the sixth round.
