Guwahati: The Gahati High Court on Monday directed the Assam government to inform the alleged violation of human rights in the state due to death since May last year.

Arif said that the court had asked AG to inform the court about the progress made in the case of a meeting called by the State Human Rights Commission in the order on July 7 last year, where to take care of Suo Motu for the meeting alleged and published notifications about problems this.

In his petition, Jwadder looked for independent investigations both with CBI or by a special investigation team under the supervision of the High Court into the meeting since May last year.

Jwadder has argued that according to media reports, more than 80 police meetings have occurred since May last year, where 28 people have been killed and 48 were injured in such a “fake meeting”.
In July last year, he had filed a complaint to the National Human Rights Commission who urged him to take awareness and asked the meeting.
