Berlin: Police in East Germany conducted a raid on Wednesday in an investigation of alleged threats to kill the Government and others by opponents of the restrictions and vaccination of Coronavirus.
Some properties in Dresden are being sought in an investigation of alleged preparations for serious acts of violence, police said on Twitter.
The investigation was triggered by a report last week on the ZDF television that a group in Telegram Messenger Telegram discussed the plan to kill the State Governor of Saxony, Michael Kretschmer, and other state government members.
Dresden is the capital of Saxony, who often protests against the Coronavirus policy and has a German lose vaccination rate.
According to the report, 103 members of the group shared rejection of vaccination, state and current Coronavirus policy.
It displays audio messages where people urge the opposite policy measures “with the armed forces if necessary,” directed towards Kretschmer and others.
Police said that comments by several members on alleged possession of weapons and crossbows were part of the investigation.
