Berlin: The German public health institution said on Monday the United Kingdom of Britain, India, Portugal and Russia was no longer the “careful variant area”, reducing travel restrictions for people who arrived in Germany from these countries.
The four countries have been lowered to the “high incident area”, said Robert Koch Institute, which means residents they can now travel to Germany and Quarantine on arrival for 10 days.
The quarantine period can be shortened to five if they test the negative for Covid-19.
“If you have spent time in the high incidence area before entering, the relevant test may not be done earlier than five days after entering,” said the Institute on the website.
