Berlin: Secretary General of the Social Social Democrats said he was sure that his party had been given a mandate to form a ruling coalition, based on the poll coming out in German elections.
Lars Klingbeil spoke times after the poll came out by two major television channels on Sunday.
In the poll by the ZDF channel, SPD slightly ahead of its main rival, the Central Center block, 26 percent to 24 percent.
In polls published by the ARD channel, interested parties even 25 percent.
Polling suggested a significant increase for social Democrats, compared to the earlier position of this year, and a sharp decline for Union blocks.
Klingbeil said the party now “has a mission to form a coalition,” and for the top candidates, Olaf Scholz became a chancellor.
