Rajkot: Together with the authorities expecting the next tide of Covid-19 in following 2-3 weeks, the paediatric ward of Jamnagar’s GG Hospital has been set to get a significant overhaul.
The 200-bed kids ward of Jamnagar’s largest government hospital is going to be transformed into some fully-fledged children’s hospital with 300 beds and the most recent equipment and machines for quick diagnosis.The choice to update the paediatric ward has been taken as specialists have expressed worries more than kids becoming infected with cornavirus from the next wave.
Jamnagar district collector Ravi Shankar stated that the GG Hospital now has 2,000 beds such as the children’s shield, which isn’t intended for the requirements of youngsters.

Some equipment and machines have been imported from South Korea, USA and from throughout the planet.

“The hospital construction is going to soon be made more kids friendly.

Director of corporate events in Reliance Industries Ltd, Parimal Nathwani stated,”We’re looking for 50 ICU beds in the hospital.
The infrastructure is going to be generated within the GG Hospital premises.
The preparation has begun and we also have purchased the gear.”
