Vadodara: One of the people called by Crime Branch in connection with the alleged rape of gangs and suicide from a 18-year-old girl from Navsari, appeared to record her statement on Thursday.
Vaishnavi Taparia, who works at the Oasis Institute here, was questioned by the police for several hours with another girl.
The police said that Vaishnavi denied knowledge about the alleged Gangrape girl.
“Vaishnivi claims that the 18-year-old girl never told him that he was raped.
Vaishnivi said that his work was connecting the girl with a mentor at the Institute and that was what he did,” said a crime branch official.
The police have also called Oasis Trustee Sanjeev Shah and Preeti Nair who have been ordered to cover the alleged Gangrape girl.
Both Shah and Nair are expected to appear beforehand from the police on Friday.
Shah, Nair and Vaishnivi were ordered under the IPC 114, 176 and 202 section three days ago for allegedly covering the details of this case.
The police said that after the girl was suspected of being raped at the foundation of the vaccine Institute in October this year, the girl was reported to notify the trustee and other girls at the Institute.
But no one from Oasis told the parents of women or police.
Also, when the investigation began, the Trustee was not working together and was reluctant to provide documentary evidence.
The girl’s body was found on the train at the Valsad Railway Station in 4.
November in her diary, she mentioned that she was raped by two men at the Ground Institute vaccine.
