PANAJI: The National Organization for Tobacco Eradication (Note), India, on Friday filed a memorandum to the Minister of Chief Pramod Sawant to stop the tobacco product reception.
Note President Dr.
Shekhar Salkar said there were several examples of replacement advertisements encouraged in the public domain by cigarette companies including tobacco products on public transportation and hoarding on display at the edge of Mandovi.
Memorandum is submitted to the authorities who ask them to issue instructions to identify and attract replacement ads and issue orders to refrain from refraining themselves to prevent space or media to private companies to promote health replacement ads.
