Panaji: With the rabies project mission in Goa will expire in March 2023, the organization has submitted a proposal to the state government to take project maintenance afterwards.
As a result, Rabies Control and Stray Dog Management will be handled by the Goa government from April 2023.

From the moment the MoU was signed between the rabies mission and the state government in 2015, the team was given RS3.48 Crore (utilized until 2020 August) towards Rabies control in Goa.
Until now, rabies vaccination 5.4 lakh has been given to dogs and nearly 10 students of Lakh and citizens have been educated with awareness campaigns on dog bites and management management.
