PANAJI: The state government has begun to prepare a 100% renewable energy plan with the help of the union government to achieve the purpose of penny percent of the use of renewable energy.
Nilesh Cabral’s Minister of Environment, in a letter to the Workers Government, stated that Goa was in the process of preparing a 100% renewable energy plan with the assistance from the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNE).
Goa needs around 540mW power during the day and 640mW during rush hour, 6pm to 11:00.
The government has told solar policies with 50% subsidies at the cost of benchmarks.
However, until now, only about 15MW installations have been completed.
“The Goa Energy Development Agency (GEDA) is a nodal agent who interacts with MNE for the implementation of centralized sponsored schemes and goa government schemes in the field of new and renewable resources,” said Cabral.
The state government of the state has decided to form a solar power plant floating in the Dam Selaulim, Amthanem, Anjunem and Chapoli in design, build, financing and operating the model for a period of 25 years and has invited interest in interest (EOI) for the selection of diesel danger power.
