PANAJI: Schools in Goa have been allowed to reopen for physical classes for grade 9 to 12 from October 18 with Covid-19 guidelines and standard operating procedures, officials said on Friday.
In a round released on Thursday, Bhushan Savaikar’s state education director said the state government decided to reopen the school for a physical class after consulting with the Expert Committee.
The department has requested management and head of educational institutions to make decisions, taking into account available infrastructure and local conditions, stated.
“Schools can, if needed, initially follow hybrid teaching modes, namely, online and offline classes,” circulars.

Masks, temperature checks, and sanititis are required at the entrance gate of the institution, and even staff must be examined before entering, he said.
According to circles, school functions and assemblies should not be done, until further orders.
Goa on Thursday recording 68 cases of Covid-19 and two victims who took infection calculations to 1,77,356, including 3,335 deaths.
The coastal country currently has 679 active cases.
