Panaji: PM Narendra Modi said on Saturday that the union government gave priority to tourism countries for vaccination, and that Goa would play an important role in reviving the country’s tourism sector.
He also said that the Government Government would provide a free visa for 5 Lakh International tourists, to increase tourism.
Calling Goa a state of unlimited possibilities, he said that “Goa is not just the state of the country but a strong marker of the Indian brand”.
Modi praised the health workers and beneficiaries of the Covid Vaccination Program in Goa, which “completed 100% of the first dose coverage” to a qualified population.
He interacted with them to mark the settlement of the country from the milestone.
PM also said that the Government Government will take all steps to promote tourism in this country.
He also said that the “multiple engine government” was an effort to make the Goan tourism sector more attractive, and provide more facilities to farmers and fishermen of the country.
Modi said it was important that Goa had given the first dose of 100% of the qualified population, stating that when hotel employees, taxi drivers and shop owners were vaccinated, tourists would come to the cave with security.
“This is a major milestone in the fight against Coronavirus,” he said.
“Every achievement of the cave that symbolizes the concept of oak Bharat-Shrestha Bharat fulfills me happily.” PM said that he hoped that in the upcoming tourism season which began next month, Goa gets “the same number of tourists and international tourists”.
Meanwhile, Modi said that even though there was a decrease in the spread of Covid, prevention measures were still a necessity.
“Maximum (more) We focus on safety and cleanliness, the more tourists will come to Goa,” he said.
PM said that over the past few months, Goa has been against natural disasters such as heavy rain, cyclone and bold floods, adding that under the leadership of the CM Pramod Sawant, the state has fought boldly.
“I congratulate Sawant and his team,” he said, adding congratulations to Korona’s soldiers, health workers and the Goa team to maintain the rate of vaccination in the midst of natural disasters.
He also praised state coordination in facing social and geographical challenges.
The pace in Canacona, for example, is located in one of the remote parts in the state, has set examples for other countries, he said.
“Goa has shown great results Sabka Sath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas and Sabka Prasih,” he said.
Meanwhile, the day after India gave a 2.5-crore record of a dose on his birthday, Modi praised the affection, service and taste of the health care team and the people.
“I have seen a lot of birthdays, and always indifferently with it, but, in my years, yesterday (Friday) was a day that made me very emotional,” he said, adding that it was made special with efforts.

Outlining the central decision to prioritize tourism goals for vaccination, Modi said this was not discussed earlier.
“It is important for our tourism goals to open,” he said.
“The central government has also recently taken a few steps to encourage foreign tourists.
