Panaji: The President of the State Congress of Maharashtra Nana Patole on Wednesday said Goa people would teach the Lessons to BJP by choosing Congress candidates for stable state governments.
First, the Goa people suffered because of the closure of the mine by the BJP government, and then due to mismanagement of Covid, he said at a press conference.
“Goa people suffer because of mismanagement of the BJP government in several fronts.
Covid patients are left dead.
The BJP government must be accounted for it.
I am sure people will defeat BJP in this election,” Patole said.
He said the Congress would win the Panaji seat and claim that the party had convinced the former Panaji Mayor Uday Madkkaikar to ask for his candidate.
“Madkkaikar with us.
He will also help us in the neighboring constituency,” said Patole.
After being rejected by tickets, Madkkaikar extended support to former Minister of Chief Manohar Parragar Utpal, who was in the commotion as an independent candidate after a stop from BJP.
Patole also discussed an angle meeting in Sakhali, which is the constituency of the Minister of Pramod Sawant.
Meanwhile, Congress Deputy President Delhi Ali Mehendi, who was also in Goa to campaign, said Delhi CM Arvind Kelanjiwal had provided guarantees to Goans, but he had failed to fulfill the promises he had made to the Delhi people.
“He has failed even to let go of the salary of Staff Anganwadi in Delhi.
They protested in front of his house.” Mehendi said.
Teaching and non-teaching staff in Delhi, he said, also has not been paid salaries, and they too, have been nervous.
Kejriwal arrives at Goa on Wednesday to campaign and will be here for three days.
Mehendi said Delhi CM had visited Goa repeatedly to divide voices, but Goan voters would not be convinced by the guarantee.
“The Kejriwal model will not work in Goa.
In Delhi, MLA is involved in several crimes, but there is no action taken.
In Goa, he has asked people to file complaints against His MLAS (if selected) if found to do criminal activities .
He stands fully open, “he said.
