Mangaluru: Customs have confiscated 24CT gold weighing 739g, worth the RS 36.4 lakh, from a female passenger at Mangaloru International Airport on Thursday.
The habit of intercepting a woman, who is a resident of Thalang, Kasaragod, after he arrived from Dubai on Thursday.
He smuggled gold in paste, mixed with solid gum hidden in a gray plastic bag, sewn in his underwear.
Cases have been registered and active investigations in this matter.
